Izzo recruiting in Grand Rapids tonight
Finals week at MSU gives not only the players a week off, but also the coaches.
Tom Izzo took that chance to get out to Grand Rapids tonight to watch a high-profile recruit in action. Grand Rapids Christian's sophomore Drake Harris is a four-star shooting guard and is playing at Rockford tonight -- where Izzo will be in the crowd.
Harris is coveted widely for not only basketball, but football. The 6-foot-4, 180 pound athlete was a star wide receiver in the fall for the Eagles football team and will be sought after heavily by coaches in both sports. It is rumored that he could play both sports in college and that Izzo and Mark Dantonio are working together in his recruitment.
Izzo and Michigan coach John Beilein were in the stands at some of Harris' football games, with Izzo coming out for two in a period of three weeks.
He already possess offers from Indiana and Michigan State, according to Rivals.com.
