MSU slated to have two night games in 2012
Michigan State received two primetime games for the upcoming football season.
The first will be the season opener on Aug. 31 against Boise State, which will air on ESPN at 8 p.m. The Spartans' game against Notre Dame on Sept. 15 also will be at 8 p.m., but on ABC.
One of the Spartans' night games in 2011 ended with a Hail Mary to beat Wisconsin.
Last year, MSU played Wisconsin in a night game and hosted College Gameday. In 2010, the Spartans took down Notre Dame under the lights when "Little Giants" was executed.
If those two games are any example of what is to come, the 2012 matchups with Boise State and Notre Dame could be quite exciting.
Keep in mind, in 2009, the Spartans and Iowa played a pretty crazy night game, as well.
Spartan Stadium has hosted 11 night games in its history, not including the coming season.
The Big Ten will have 14 primetime games, with eight on Big Ten Network and six on ESPN/ABC.
